
Phillip Detmer is managing director of aviation affairs and real estate for the Clark County Department of Aviation (CCDOA), where he oversees airline business relationships, aviation agreements, airport real estate, land-use planning and space management. His responsibilities include negotiating and administering airline use and lease agreements, overseeing general aviation business activities, guiding property development, and leading strategic planning to support airport growth, operational efficiency and revenue generation. He also serves as a key adviser on air service development and long-term commercial strategy.
Detmer joined CCDOA in 2002 as an aviation contract specialist and has held a variety of roles in the business division over more than two decades, advancing into executive leadership. During his tenure, he has overseen critical airline and tenant agreements that supported record passenger growth. He also played a key role in coordinating the successful opening of Terminal 3 in 2012 and has been instrumental in developing and implementing updated airport policies, including airline space allocation and use agreements.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In his spare time, Detmer enjoys spending time with his wife of 20 years and their three children.
