Social Media Policy

The Clark County Department of Aviation (CCDOA), which includes Harry Reid International Airport, Henderson Executive Airport, North Las Vegas Airport, Jean Sport Aviation Center and Overton-Perkins Field, utilizes social media channels to engage with community members and provide relevant information. Social media channels are generally monitored Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST, excluding federal holidays.

Public Conduct

The CCDOA reserves the right to hide or remove any inappropriate social media comments containing the following:

• Abusive, vulgar or obscene language or content;

• Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, gender identity or sexual orientation;

• Content that promotes or incites violence or illegal activity;

• Sexual content, including nudity;

• Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;

• Content that promotes, endorses, or opposes a service or product, political party, person campaigning for elected office or ballot proposition;

• Comments infringing on copyrighted or trademarked material, or comment deemed to be an infringement of intellectual property;

• Comments not topically related to the post; or

• Apparent spam or trolling

The CCDOA may follow or "friend" other companies, organizations or individuals. This does not constitute any CCDOA endorsements of any third party or its content.

All public-posted comments reflect the views of the author and not necessarily the views or the position of the CCDOA. Posting on our social media sites constitutes acceptance of these terms. Failure to comply with these terms could lead to the user being blocked/banned.
