LAS reopened its Food & Essentials Pantry to support federal partners working without pay during the current partial federal government shutdown. The pantry provides supplies to personnel who remain on the front lines safeguarding the traveling public.
Companies and organizations interested in contributing to the pantry can coordinate drop-offs through the Airport Control Center at (702) 261-7157. Drop-off hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items needed include: nonperishable food items, toiletries, hygiene products, baby and pet supplies, and household essentials.
TSA and Customs and Border Protection employees serving LAS play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of daily airport operations despite the ongoing funding lapse. As the second shutdown in less than six months stretches on, the airport community has remobilized the pantry to ensure these employees and their families have access to necessities during this period of uncertainty.
The pantry is open Monday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will remain operational until the partial government shutdown concludes. Distribution of items is based on available inventory and while supplies last.
