Travelers can now check security wait times online before heading to the airport.
The new feature on our website, harryreidairport.com, provides real-time insight into current TSA security checkpoint wait times, helping passengers better plan for their trip.
The addition of wait times to the website builds on a previous rollout of the information on display screens inside the terminals. With the launch of a new, modernized website last year, these tools are designed to give travelers a seamless and informed experience both before arriving at the airport and once inside the terminal.
“Travel plans to the airport start well before a passenger steps into the terminal,” said Director of Aviation Jim Chrisley. “By providing estimated TSA security wait times online, we’re giving travelers another tool to make informed decisions about when to arrive at the airport and how to best prepare for their trip.”
These estimated wait times can fluctuate by the minute and should not be used to plan a later arrival to the airport. Passengers are always advised to arrive two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international departure to allow for any unexpected delays.
