Alumni from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University enjoyed runway views during a ride around the airfield. They also visited the airport's fire station and ramp control tower, where workers guide aircraft before they taxi for takeoff and as they approach the gate.

The group also visited the Terminal Operations Academy, a training room outfitted with different flooring types and fixtures where custodial staff learn the best techniques to keep the terminals clean. After a lunch-and-learn with the airport Business and Concessions team, the group learned about airline operations with the team at Southwest.
