Collaboration is essential to advancing sustainability across all airport operations. LAS actively engages its partners, tenants, and vendors to support and implement environmental initiatives.
Electric Ground Support Equipment (eGSE): LAS worked closely with Southwest Airlines to convert their diesel-powered service vehicles to electric. We supported the design and installation of gate-side charging stations for seamless operations
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF): LAS is committed to supporting airline partners as they explore SAF alternatives. Our facilities are ready to accommodate evolving fuel infrastructure needs.
Food Donation Program: HMS Host, our largest food and beverage partner, consistently donates unused food items to local food banks and shelters, setting an example for others in the airport community.
FAA Surface Management Technology: LAS partners with the FAA to implement software that calculates optimal gate pushbacks, reducing taxi times, fuel use, and emissions. This innovation is being deployed at 27 major airports nationwide.
